Boys will be Boys Part 2!

The boys are starting to be more interactive with each other. Most of the interactions involve toy stealing and crying. Here is a little video from today. Reid is attempting to get on the couch and then he decides taking Jack's toy would be a better idea.

They are so funny! On a sweeter note Jack was crying today and Reid picked up a paci and went over and put it in Jack's mouth. It was super cute :-) Didn't capture that on video.

Boys will be Boys!

We have child proofed every part of our house and these boys still find things to get into. It's non-stop with these two. They climb everything, eat anything they find, and just seem to get into anything they aren't supposed to.  Grace was active when she was this age but nothing like these two.  Now I understand when people say boys are just different!

Here is our side table in the living room. Yes the drawers are taped shut because they close each others fingers in the drawers. They go under this table and pull on the lamp cord and of course bump their heads.

Hanging on the baby gate...

Trying to climb the outside of the stairs....

Seriously Jack?!

With all the toys we have this is what they want to do...

Grace and Joe

Well I was attempting to get a picture of Grace and Joe for their birthday thank you cards. It's hard to get a picture of the two of them sitting still, smiling, and not doing something silly.  Plus after I took these pictures Katie came to get Joe and reminded me that he was missing his pajama shorts. Oops...couldn't find the Woody shorts for Joe. And to top it off he is wearing a Dora pull-up in the pictures. The pictures are still cute though so I had to share.

Grace and Joe get along very well and are the best of friends. Grace is constantly asking about where Joe is and what he's doing. It's super cute! She lights up when she sees him. I hope they continue to stay close as they grow up. I have such a great relationship with my cousins and I love that they have that as well. They will be starting preschool in the Fall and they will be in the same class! They are going to have so much fun.

I LOVE this picture. The look on each of their faces cracks me up. Grace is so proud and happy to be taking a picture with Joe. Joe is so over taking pictures...typical boy!

Grace

She was only 2 when the twins were born. Still a baby herself. I feel like we absorbed every single tiny moment with Grace until the twins were born. We noticed everything and made a big deal about everything. After we had the twins we stopped noticing every single tiny moment. It makes me sad. Because as hard as we try, and even if we spend every second that we aren't changing a baby diaper, or feeding them, or putting them to sleep, or whatever...with Grace, some details are still lost in the hustle and bustle of things.

I got thinking about this the other day after we had a trip to the pool as a family of five. Mike and I were chasing the twins around the pool. They like to get in and out of the baby pool and walk all around the cement. They still stumble quite a bit and they are just busy, busy, busy! Basically it's just not very relaxing and we are running around like crazy people.  In the meantime Grace is playing in the baby pool and yelling for us to watch her do this or watch her do that. When before we had all the time in the world to watch her now a lot of the little things get missed.  I have no regrets, because you can't plan for the unexpected and twins...ummm not so expected, but the best surprise ever. But it just makes it hard to swallow the fact that you will just have WAY less time with your precious first born.

The other day Grace asked me "When are the bubbies going away?"....ughhh it kills me. I know this stage will pass and soon they will all be running around playing together, but for now it's tough.

I prefer the days when she tell me "Mom, I really like the bubbies" Almost as if she is trying to convince me! It cracks me up.

Here are some pictures from the last week (Pool, zoo, fair!) I guess she is not as neglected as I thought. She looks pretty happy :-) I just have Mommy guilt..

Fun at the zoo with Joe!

Those dimples kill me

Riding the train with Caroline!

 Bored and watching more TV

At the Birmingham fair. She is my little dare devil! Taking after her Mama. I loved watching her on the rides and seeing how excited she was.
